Benfica specifies Enzo Fernandez selling conditions

Allfootballleague knows that Enzo Fernandez will not leave Benfica until an interested party pays his €120 million release clause.

On Sunday, in Argentina’s sixth World Cup final appearance, the 21-year-old will have the chance to raise the title after a string of brilliant performances during the tournament.

Enzo Fernandez just joined Benfica in the summer, despite interest from Manchester City, Manchester United, and Wolves, who came close to signing him. Still, current rumors indicate that a transfer to Liverpool has already been agreed upon.

However, according to sources cited by “allfootballleague,” the Portuguese giants are unaware of any agreement and news of a “done deal” is premature.

“allfootballleague” has learned that Liverpool is monitoring Fernandez’s development and have contacted the player’s management, although they have merely shown interest at this time.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are also fans of Fernandez’s abilities. Still, Benfica has no intention of selling in January, and the player is entirely focused on helping Argentina win the World Cup.

In addition, Benfica has informed Fernandez’s representation that if he leaves the Estadio da Luz, one of the teams interested in purchasing him would need to pay his €120 million release clause in total, making him their second-most costly export behind Joao Felix.

In June of last year, Benfica paid River Plate around €18 million, including add-ons, to acquire him. Any transaction in this range would result in a substantial profit for Benfica.
