Twitter reacts to France's World Cup semifinal victory against Morocco

Twitter reacts: France advanced to the World Cup final after defeating Morocco 2-0 on Wednesday evening.

Didier Deschamps’ squad will meet Argentina in Sunday’s final with the opportunity to become just the third men’s team to retain their championship.

The semi-final at Al Bayt Stadium was historical, with the Atlas Lions being the first African team to reach this level.

At the Al Bayt Stadium, France supporters were vastly outnumbered by Moroccans, as was visible throughout the national anthems.

Morocco conceded their first goal all tournament (scored by an opposition player) just five minutes in, with Theo Hernandez scrambling one over the line.

Twitter reacts: Olivier Giroud then rattled the post as the Atlas Lions’ early defensive frailties continued to be exploited.

After six minutes of stoppage time, France was again confirmed as World Cup finalists.
