When and where is the 2022 World Cup?

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar kicks off on Sunday November 20 at the Al Bayt Stadium when the hosts take on Ecuador in Group A.

Senegal’s match against the Netherlands at Al Thumama Stadium was originally scheduled to kick off the tournament a day later, but Qatar’s match was moved up in order for them to be able to open their home tournament in August.
